A couple has come out recently and proven, yet again, that the rest of us all suck. They claim that they are able to live off the universe’s energy alone and do not need food or water to survive.
In fact, they’ve hardly eaten anything in a whopping nine years! I know what you’re thinking right now; you’re calling them liars in your head.
Akahi Ricardo and Camila Castello are breatharians and don’t believe that physical nourishment is necessary for humans to survive.
Camila has even been through two pregnancies and delivered two very healthy babies who are now five and two. No one call CPS, their kids eat whatever and whenever they want.
They are not planning to ever force them into the breatharian life, but hope they may want to explore it later in life.
The pair claim to only eat a piece of fruit, or some vegetable broth three times a week and only if they want to taste it, not because they feel hungry.
Camila said “Humans can easily be without food – as long as they are connected to the energy that exists in all things and through breathing. Since breatharianism, I feel healthier and happier that I’ve ever done before. When I was younger, my weight fluctuated but now, after having two children, my body bounced back to its natural shape immediately.”
The couple started the process by becoming vegetarians, then vegan, and then eating solely fruit, before taking the leap and going for the “21 Day Breatharian Process.”
Take note, you will die if you just try it cold turkey. It requires you to not eat or drink anything for the first week, and then some water and diluted juices the next two weeks.
The family saves a lot of money on their grocery bill and uses it to travel.
For everyone like me who has been reading and thinking this was a crock of bull, check out this article from Collective Evolution and the studies found within.
One study focused on a man within a fully monitored room who didn’t eat or drink for two weeks and showed no physiological changes. Incredible. But I don’t think I’d want to do that… just yet.
